I haven’t done a thank you Thursday in so long. But it was a must today.
In a time when the world is all sorts of messed up. I’m not talking about the natural disasters that have been happening lately. I’m talking about the way we are treating one another. I’m talking about people not even saying the simplest things as please, thank you, you’re welcome, excuse me and especially I’m sorry. Why did we forget to just be nice. Why did we forget that a random act of kindness from a stranger is okay. That there doesn’t have to be an ulterior motive when people are nice.
I was at the laundromat on Monday. My towels weren’t dry yet. I went to the change machine. For some reason it wouldn’t take my dollar. After putting it in 3 times. Somebody taps me on the shoulder and says here. A complete stranger handed me a dollar in quarters. I must have looked completely shocked that a stranger was giving me a dollar. He said here keep it. I was like are you sure? He said, yes keep it. I was so taken aback, that I didn’t even realize that I should of handed him the dollar that wasn’t working in the change machine. I said thank you over and over. It was so nice of him. I finished my laundry and when I turned back to thank him again. He was gone. It was so weird to me because I instantly felt like he had never been there.
Let’s not forget that it’s okay to be nice to one another. Including complete strangers.
LIFE IS GOOD!!!
