Is this thing on?!?!?!
Once again I told myself over and over to keep up with this thing lol. I haven’t and yes I’m ashamed of myself.
Today I am celebrating my birthday so I thought I would post about it. My birthday was almost 2 weeks ago, but today I am celebrating what I consider my 4th birthday. It’s the anniversary of the day I almost left my body. Not too many people know what that means or what happened to me. So it’s probably a little confusing to you. Without going into too much detail and turning this into a 6 mile post. I don’t even know how to say this without it sounding so dramatic. BUT I almost died 4 years ago. That’s as much as I’m going to say because it’s still hard for me to talk about.
I’ve never been one to celebrate my birthday. It’s just not one of those things that isn’t important. I don’t even tell people it’s my birthday. This year for some reason I didn’t feel the same. I decided to decorate my own desk at work. Then I said I wasn’t going to because my coworkers would laugh at me. I asked my niece if it was a dumb idea to decorate for myself. She quickly replied with “Tia, there is nothing wrong with celebrating yourself” She is right! So for my real birthday a couple of weeks ago, I bought myself some balloons and I made myself a birthday banner.
Best thing about celebrating another birthday today, was a little visit from this precious girl. Thanks for brining her Dana <3
Itzel had a half birthday a few days ago. I made her crown and banner.
I keep posting the banner on Instagram lol. I’m so proud of it.
Aside from banners, I’ve been making so many paper flowers. At one point my living room was a flower shop lol.
Happy Tyson Tuesday by the way.
If you’re still reading this. Thank you!
Have a great evening and thanks for stoping by.
Where flowers bloom, so does hope.
Take a quiet walk with Mother Earth. It will nurture your mind, body and soul.
Make every day Earth Day.
Join me all month as I celebrate Earth Day with some of my photos and quotes I find on line.
Good food, lots of paper flowers, baby shower decorations, baby Itzel and a boat load of crafting. Thank you March. See you next year <3
I’ve been tired and drained and I need to take a nap and wake up next Tuesday.
Life of a crafter is hard! LOL.
I made a simple banner today.
Excuse my mess.
I’m so tired. So sorry for the uneventful post.
Thanks for checking out my blog all month long. I appreciate you.
With baseball Opening Day in a little over a week. Making these baseball decorations has been getting me so excited for the season to start. While others favorite day of the year is their birthday or Christmas or even Valentine’s Day. Mine is Opening Day! Don’t get me wrong I love Christmas songs and red hearts all over the place. But Opening Day makes my heart super happy. Walking into the stadium after months of waiting for the season to start. The team introductions. The way the America Flag covers the field during the singing of the National Anthem. The Fly over and the face of the kid that calls out the first “PLAY BALL” of the season. Then then MIKE TROUT takes the field. Yes MIKE TROUT. The best player in baseball!!! That’s when I know that all is well in the world! Baseball is back and it’s going to be fun!
This Angels fan isn’t having too much making these Dodger decorations. LOL
Center pieces for a baseball themed retirement party.
Let’s go Angels!!!
I love baseball (gooooo Angels)!!!
I love crafting!!!
Today I brought them together to help my sister with decorations for a retirement party. I’m not done and I also didn’t take very many pictures. Hopefully more tomorrow.
These are going to go in a basket full of baseball goodies.
I just have to throw in some Angels pictures lol.
The Big A.
This is where I hang out from April-September and this year hopefully, in October too.
See you at the Ball park or in a craft room somewhere.
I’ve made a few large paper flowers before, but I eyeballed them and wasn’t sure if I was making them right. When Jamie at 702_ flowers4U offered a paper flower workshop. I decided to make a weekend out of it and travel to Las Vegas to take her workshop. Jamie was so nice and answered all my questions and didn’t hesitate to give us info, that is usually so hard to get answers to.
We made 2 flowers using her templates.
Here is the first one.
Those close up of the center is more true to color of this beautiful salmon colored paper.
My petals are a little wonky but I will keep practicing.
We also made this flower, that I am so in love with.
Love the center with a little “bling”
Thanks for all the goodies Jamie <3
Have a great rest of the weekend.
