National Craft Month…

Happy March!!!
It’s National Craft Month and I am always super excited for this month to come around. Please join me this entire month, because my plan is to make something daily and then blog about it. I am going to post pictures, share some tips, maybe a tutorial a few tutorials and 5 giveaways.

I decided to go with something super easy today. Way too easy if you ask me. Now that I think about it, is wrapping floral wire really a craft??? LOL. Either way, that’s what I decided to work on today.

I like wrapping several packages of floral wire at a time. It eliminates this process when I’m making a big quantity of paper flowers. It saves me time and it saves me sticky fingers when I’m working with paper petals.

I also like wrapping 2 wires together. Flowers will stand up better in a vase without marbles or beads. I’m sure there is thicker floral wire, but this works for me.

I hope you’re having a great week and I also hope you’ll come back all month.

January monthly favorites…

I’m a firm believer in everything you do on the first of the year, you will continue to do all year. I have a list of things I have been doing on the first, for many years.

I spend time with Mother Earth, I go to the yard, I always craft something. I buy something handmade. Several other things that I want to do all year.

Here are some of my favorites from my personal Instagram.

I hope you accomplish everything you want this year and cheers to an awesome 2017.

Colors…

Hi <3

I’ve been crafting so much lately and I always say I’m going to update, but I never get around to it. This won’t be a long update. I just want to show you what I’ve been working on.

Last week my color of the week must have been red. I made so many things involving red. Color of the week isn’t really a thing for me by the way.

I made some invitations for a Mexican themed baby shower. I also made a fabric covered can and some red flowers to go with it.

This weeks color seems to be all the fun bright colors.

Made more baby shower invitations. I really love these invitations. They remind me of the gates of haciendas in Mexico. Perfect for the baby shower.

I also hand cut confetti from scrap card stock. I like to use all the paper.

I made oversized tissue paper flowers!!! Super easy and fun to make.

And finally I made some catnip sachets for a lucky cat in California.

Busy busy busy and I love it.
Have a great rest of the week.

What to do, what to do…

I am always torn with what I want to do with this space. I start posting, I get excited. Then I fall off the wagon. I’m not consistent anymore and that bothers me. I started posting a few years after I started sewing. I wanted this to be a place where I kept track of how I was coming along. I wanted to be able to go back and see what I learned. I loved posting. I really do want to get back into it. I need some motivation. HELP!!!

For now I leave you with some flowers. That seem to be all I’ve been doing lately. I have fallen in love with the entire process. I want to send them around the world lol.

Have a great weekend.
