It’s been a long week. Between the weather, work and an Angels 10 day home stand. I am a little tired. So as I sit here on the train headed to work. I hope today goes by fast.
I can’t believe it’s my 5th post this week. I don’t know why I haven’t been posting as much as I have wanted to. I’m not one to complain about not having time. I can easily post on the train when I’m going to work or going home. I might just try to take advantage of that. Like I said in a post earlier this week, I want to do a do’s and don’ts about riding the train. Metro Monday? LOL.
Did I mention I’m tired? Ha!
Not tired enough to go see this guy play tonight.
Bottom left picture, YES Mike Trout was waving at ME!!! I thought he was waving at a somebody behind me, so I turned around and there was nobody there. Like a true fan girl I wanted to flip out and yell I LOVE YOU MIKE TROUT. But I didn’t. I kept taking pictures and he kept waving!
I could talk baseball for days, but my train is almost at my destination and I better get ready to get off. These passengers are vultures when they are trying to catch their shuttles so I need to pay attention. ROFL
Happy Friday. Have a good weekend.
I didn’t realize how long it had been since my last update until my niece Dani reminded me that I hadn’t updated my blog. She’s probably the only one that checks for updates and that’s okay with me.
A lot has happened in the last few months. Lots of good stuff and some stuff not so good.
I’m back to work. I don’t know if that falls under good or bad LOL. The fun thing about work is that I take metro. If you know me, you know I like taking the train places. So it’s a daily adventure lol. I will be doing a blog post of the do’s and don’ts of riding metro.
I love people watching so riding the train to work has been fun. I posted this in my personal Instagram. But I wanted to share it here too.
He usually wears bright pants. I was surprised to see him wearing black. What doesn’t surprise me is the confidence in his walk. People stare at him because of his bright pants. But he walks like he truly doesn’t give a fuck what people think. GOOD FOR HIM. We should all walk with that same confidence.
Hi Dani girl <3 Tia loves you.
Please stop by on Thursday for an extra special Thank you Thursday dedicated to Hugo Juarez! My friends husband who recently passed. Love you Diana.
Have a great week!
Huge thank you to my coworkers that have reached out to me this past week and a half. I still consider them my coworkers even if I don’t work with them anymore. I was laid off from my job of 22 years and I miss them so much. I think of you daily ladies and I hope you think of me too.
Chia: my days are not complete without you. Thank you for staying with me while I packed everything up. It means so much to me to know that I can always count on you. Our friendship is everything to me.
Mrs. Glorie: I can’t even type without crying. Thank you for always believing in me, for always appreciating me and for always being the friend that we all need in our lives. Don’t let me hear that your giving anybody else a bowl of potato salad or your going to hurt my feelings.
Mrs. Ima: my morning coffee is so boring without you, and who am I supposed to get my news from now? The weather report and the entertainment news from. Thanks for always being the light of my day. Thank you for always loving all my crafts and for always telling me no to give my talent away. I miss you.
Arlene: i had to start making my own pancakes since I don’t have you around to make them for me. Stay positive and stay eating all the yummy tofu. Thanks for always being a good sport and for always being so nice to me even when I was mean to you lol. I hope that you finally learned how to pronounce pescatarian lol.
Maricela: I wish I could have been there your last few days with the company. Best of luck with your new job. I know you will be amazing. Thank you for your support and for always appreciating all my crafts!. I hope I still see you every Christmas for your family photos!
Thank you ladies!
So much to be thankful for lately. But today I am thankful for friends who invite my sister and I over for their birthday lunch. Friends who take their time to make lemonade.
How beautiful are these lemons!!!
Friends who take the time to make us salad and soup.
Thankful for a good lunch that was cooked from scratch but even more thankful for nice conversations, for fun stories and for how appreciative friends are. Thank you Alma for such a fun afternoon.
While most people wish we could skip Monday and go right into Tuesday. I TRY to look at it like a brand new start. Whatever went wrong last week. We can leave that behind. Don’t get me wrong, I too sometimes with Monday’s left as fast as they arrived. But there is nothing wrong with a fresh start.
So please have an awesome week!
All my love <3
I got a cute little message from my niece earlier today.
She asked me to blog more because she liked my blog.
It was already in my 2018 plans to blog at least 1-2 times a week.
So her message today was so encouraging.
There is so much out there to talk about, so I won’t just be blogging about crafty stuff.
With Christmas coming to an end and the excitement of a new year right around the corner.
I want to thank those of you who have purchased handmade goodies from me all year long.
I also want to thank those of you who take the time to comment and like the stuff I make.
I appreciate it so much. I have so many pictures that I should have posted all year. Maybe I will come back and do that in the next few days.
But for now, I leave you with a couple of pictures of Smitten.
I love her dress!!!
Thank you Dani girl!
Make every day Earth Day.
Join me all month as I celebrate Earth Day with some of my photos and quotes I find on line.
I love baseball (gooooo Angels)!!!
I love crafting!!!
Today I brought them together to help my sister with decorations for a retirement party. I’m not done and I also didn’t take very many pictures. Hopefully more tomorrow.
These are going to go in a basket full of baseball goodies.
I just have to throw in some Angels pictures lol.
The Big A.
This is where I hang out from April-September and this year hopefully, in October too.
See you at the Ball park or in a craft room somewhere.
I’ve made a few large paper flowers before, but I eyeballed them and wasn’t sure if I was making them right. When Jamie at 702_ flowers4U offered a paper flower workshop. I decided to make a weekend out of it and travel to Las Vegas to take her workshop. Jamie was so nice and answered all my questions and didn’t hesitate to give us info, that is usually so hard to get answers to.
We made 2 flowers using her templates.
Here is the first one.
Those close up of the center is more true to color of this beautiful salmon colored paper.
My petals are a little wonky but I will keep practicing.
We also made this flower, that I am so in love with.
Love the center with a little “bling”
Thanks for all the goodies Jamie <3
Have a great rest of the weekend.
